About Me

My name is Rebeca Cruz and I'm a self taught baker born and raised in College Station, TX.

My baking career began when I was a little girl, obsessed with the show Cake Boss. The show inspired me to put my easy bake oven away and try my hand at simple box cake mixes. My mother supported me with my new hobby and was always there to help me test out new recipes. To this day she is my right hand woman and my biggest supporter.

As I grew older, I started to bake less. I graduated high school and decided to study Telecommunications at Texas A&M University. After a few semesters, I decided to take a break from school because I was questioning if I had picked the right major. During my break, I came across the Brazos Valley Farmers Market. The vendors were all so kind and they genuinely looked happy selling their handmade items. They inspired me and helped me realize that I wanted to start my own business. Shorty after,  I quit my job as a waitress and started baking full time.

I'm thankful that I have found a place in the community that allows me to do what I love for a living.

"For what it's worth: It's never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you're proud of, and if you're not, I hope you have the strength to start over"
F. Scott Fitzgerald
